How to make your first 1000 dollars as a new blogger?

If you are serious about making money, you must do the right things from the beginning.

  • Starting a self-hosted blog
  • Choosing the best CMS for your blog (WordPress)
  • Using SEO ( At least the basic SEO)

One more essential aspect of blogging is TIME. You have to put some time into your blog. Otherwise, it will always remain your dream.

Nothing is wrong with dreaming, but making those dreams real takes time and consistent work.

Blogging is no different. You will make mistakes on the way and get disheartened but keep going.

This has happened to me for another blog; I don’t want to work on it, even if it makes money.

Consistently working on your blog will help you make your first $1000.

1. Work consistently

Consistency and patience is the key to staying true to your goals. Work daily on blog-related tasks. As a blogger, you wear many hats and must do everything yourself if you cannot outsource your work.

Even if you don’t need to add a single code yourself, there are so many things you need to do to grow your blog and turn it into an online business.

10 things to do after installing WordPress and before launching your blog

Writing great content is the initial step. Publishing your content, promoting, outreach, and networking are all essential things in the life of a blogger.

Being organized and consistent work helps you to keep going.

2. Create goals

Always remember to have blogging goals and stick to them. I know blogging consists of so many things, and you forget many tasks. Still doing important tasks daily can help you create a money-making blog.

Whenever I lie down on the bed, all the tasks surface my mind that I forget to complete. There are always so many things to do that you forget some things.

While building a blog, you always have something to do. Creating goals and organizing your tasks helps you relieve yourself from some of the overwhelm.

3. Stay motivated

It takes time to build a blog and make money. Losing motivation in the meantime is a possibility. You have to save yourself from overwhelm and stay motivated.

To stay on the path, always look at the end goal and think about the time when your goal will be accomplished.

How to make your first $1000 blogging

There are a few ways you can start making money. Before that, you need visitors to your blog. Your audience should become to your blog to read about the solutions for their problems.

So, writing about your target audience is so important.

How to start getting traffic to your blog

1. Advertisements

Having ads on your website and making money is the easiest way. There are different ad networks that you can use to have ads on your website.

Google Adsense:

It is easy to start with Google Adsense, but the money is not great if you begin your blogging career.

Mdeia.net

Media.net is known for conceptual ads that mingle with your blog’s content. But then, my experience is not so great with this ad network.

Monumetric

To sign up with this ad network, you should have at least 10000 pageviews. And also, you have to pay $100 to get started. You can recover this money in some time, so not a big deal.

Mediavine

It is a premium ad network that works with blogs with 50,000 sessions or more. They have some traffic requirements too.

The need was only 25000 sessions earlier, but after I got 25000 sessions on my other blog, they changed their condition. ( my bad luck).

I know about these ad networks because bloggers use them and have good reviews.

2. Affiliate Marketing

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is when you like a product, recommend it to somebody, and get paid for referring the customer. These are the third-party products that you recommend and earn commissions for.

A blog post is the best place to use affiliate marketing as you can make money by sending visitors to the product page. The most straightforward example you may have come across is the cashback sites.

Most of us love online shopping. If we shop online through cashback sites, they give us some money back. Also, they pay us to refer customers to their sites.

Tip: Ebates is one such company that pays $25 for referring a person to their site. It is a win-win situation for both as the person will get $10 for signing up, and you will earn money for referring.

If you are serious about making money with Affiliate marketing, you should learn it from this course. It is a course by Ana from Thesheapproach.com, who makes a good amount of money with affiliate marketing.

To get started with affiliate marketing, you can sign up for affiliate programs such as Amazon Associates, ShareASale, or Commission Junction.

Once you’ve signed up, you can start promoting products that are relevant to your blog’s niche. Be sure to disclose your affiliate links to your readers.

3. Services

Blogging helps you pick many skills on the way. Or you might have some skills from your previous or present jobs. You can offer those skills to others who need them and start making money.

Here are the services which you can provide to make money

  • Blog audit services
  • Blog coaching
  • Virtual Assistant Services
  • Email Marketing
  • Admin services
  • Social Media Management

I have worked as Pinterest Virtual Assistant. I learned about Pinterest only after starting my blog. Until then, I didn’t even know that Pinterest existed.

Starting a blog helped me learn this new skill that helped me earn some money initially.

How to start providing services?

Before selling your services, you should start a blog and write posts around your expertise. This will help readers know about what you can offer.

For example, if you want to provide Virtual Assistant services, figure out your primary skill, and let us say you are good at managing emails.

You can start writing blog posts about this topic or case studies to show how you can help clients reach their goals.

Email marketing is a great marketing channel, and it is not outdated. This is just an example; you can start providing services in many more ways.

The best way is to check Fiverr and get an idea of the services people provide.

4. Freelance writing

If you love writing and can write well, you can start making money with freelance writing. Many places can help you build your writing career.

You can get paid $50-200 depending on the experience. If you are interested in Freelance writing, you can read more about the places to start Freelance writing here.

Also, sometimes you can get an email from somebody to write about them, and they will pay you maybe $30 to $50.

I get these types of emails, but my time is limited. So I don’t pay attention to these, but it is a great way to make some money ( If you like the product)

5. Creating digital products

Digital products are not for everyone, but if you can create one that helps your readers, you can make some money.

Some bloggers wait for some time before beginning their first digital product, and some start it from the beginning.

One of my favorite bloggers, Ana from TheSheApproach.com, created her product in her initial blogging stage.

She claims she didn’t make money straight from her product, but it helped her greatly.

If you think your blogging niche can support a product, why not try it? Create a digital product and start earning money.

There are many digital products you can make

  • eBooks
  • Planners
  • Printables
  • Courses

6. Coaching

Creating a blog teaches you many skills you never thought of. I am not talking about coding or techie stuff but about other blog-related skills like writing, WordPress settings, social media, and SEO.

You can teach these skills to other bloggers who are just in their beginning stages.

If you are good at a skill, you can promote your skills at Upwork,

7. Sponsered content

I have not yet gotten into Sponsered Posts, but a few people I know make a lot of money with sponsored content.

Kelan and Brittany from Thesavvycouple.com make a fair amount of their income with sponsored posts. Their income reports are very inspiring, and they are doing great as a  savvy couple.

When you think of building a blog and making money, the sky is the limit.

These income streams can help you easily make your first 1000 dollars as a new blogger. Things become accessible from there.

Setting Up Your Blog

To make your first 1000 dollars as a new blogger, you need to start by setting up your blog. Here are the three key steps to setting up your blog:

Choosing a Blogging Platform

First choose a blogging host. Siteground provides reliable and fast hosting at a very reasonable price. You can check the Siteground here.

The first step to setting up your blog is to choose a blogging platform. There are many different platforms to choose from, but some of the most popular include WordPress, Blogger, and Wix.

Each platform has its strengths and weaknesses, but WordPress is the king for creating content-based blogs.

Picking a Niche

Once you’ve chosen your blogging platform, the next step is to pick a niche. A niche is a specific topic or area of interest you’ll write about on your blog.

Choosing something you’re passionate about and have some expertise in is essential when picking a niche.

This will help you create high-quality content that resonates with your readers.

Creating Your First Blog Post

After choosing your blogging platform and niche, it’s time to create your first blog post.

Your first post should introduce your blog and give readers a sense of what they can expect from your content.

Make sure to include a catchy headline, an engaging introduction, and some high-quality images to make your post stand out.

By following these three steps, you’ll be well on your way to setting up your blog and making your first $1000 as a new blogger.

Building an Audience

As a new blogger, building an audience is crucial to making your first $1000. Here are some tips on how to do it.

Creating Quality Content

The most important thing you can do to build an audience is to create quality content. Your content should be informative, engaging, and well-written.

You should also ensure your content is original and not copied from other sources.

When creating your content, think about what your audience wants to read. What questions do they have? What problems do they need help solving? By addressing these issues, you can attract more readers to your blog.

Using SEO to Attract Traffic

Search engine optimization (SEO) is another essential tool for building an audience. By optimizing your blog for search engines, you can attract more traffic to your site.

To optimize your blog, you should use relevant keywords in your content and meta descriptions.

You should also make sure your blog is mobile-friendly and has a fast loading speed.

Engaging with Your Readers

Engaging with your readers is also essential for building an audience. You should respond to comments on your blog and engage with your readers on social media.

By building a relationship with your readers, you can create a loyal following that will continue to read your blog and share your content with others.

How long does it take to make $1,000 with a blog?

If you’re starting as a blogger, you’re probably wondering how long it will take to earn money. While there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, it’s essential to understand that making money from a blog takes time and effort.

The amount of time it takes to make your first $1,000 will depend on various factors, including your niche, content, marketing strategy, and audience.

Some bloggers can make $1,000 in their first few months, while others may take a year or more to reach that milestone.

Here are a few things to keep in mind as you work towards making your first $1,000 as a blogger:

It takes time to build an audience

An engaged audience is one of the most critical factors in making money from a blog.

This means you’ll need to create high-quality content, promote your blog on social media, and build relationships with your readers.

Building a loyal following can take several months (or even longer).

Different monetization strategies have different timelines.

There are many ways to make money from a blog, including affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, and selling digital products.

Some monetization strategies, like affiliate marketing, can generate income relatively quickly, while others, like selling your products, may take longer to set up and promote.

Consistency is key

Regardless of your niche or monetization strategy, it’s essential to be consistent with your blogging efforts.

This means publishing content regularly, engaging with your audience, and continually working to improve your blog. Consistency can help you build momentum and grow your income over time.

How Many Views Does a Blog Need to Make Money?

When it comes to making money as a blogger, the number of views your blog needs to generate income can vary significantly depending on several factors.

However, it’s generally accepted that a blog needs around 10,000 monthly page views to earn significant money.

The amount of money you can make from your blog will depend on several factors, including your niche, the type of content you produce, and the monetization methods you use.

For example, a blog in a highly profitable niche like finance or health can earn more per page view than a blog in a less profitable niche.

It’s important to note that not all page views are created equal. The quality of your traffic is just as important as the quantity.

For instance, if your blog attracts visitors who are not interested in your content or are unlikely to click on ads or purchase products, your earnings will be lower.

In addition to page views, other metrics such as engagement, bounce rate, and time on site can also impact your earnings.

A high bounce rate or low engagement can indicate that your content is not resonating with your audience, which can affect your ability to generate income.
